As a reminder, beginning on April 29, our state testing window for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) opens at Muirlands. Students will take their grade-specific CAASPP assessment. These assessments are in English Language Arts, math, and 8th grade science. Information regarding the specific assessments is below:
- Smarter Balanced assessment for English Language Arts and mathematics in grades three through eight, and grade eleven (3-8 & 11). The Smarter Balanced assessments utilize computer-adaptive tests and performance tasks that allow students to show what they know and are able to do in English language arts and mathematics.
- California Science Test (CAST). The CAST is an online test based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (CA NGSS).

Note: Monday May 6 and Friday May 17 have regular day schedules, May 1 has a "regular modified Wednesday" schedule, and May 8 and 15 have "BLOCK SCHEDULE modified Wednesday" schedules.
